Our 4th of July weekend

It was quite the weekend. Quite a LONG weekend actually. Chuck is working about 2 hours north of home right now so he's been staying up there in the trailer. Wade and I left Wednesday night because Chuck needed some vests they forgot to take. Wade and I went to the zoo in Idaho Falls, and he just LOVED it! Then we left late Friday night to go up to Chucks sisters house in Priest River. They had a big family reunion thing up there. It was VERY interesting meeting the side of Chucks family i'd never seen before, besides his sister. Chuck hadn't even seen most of them for 10 or 15 years either. They are VERY redneck, and proud of it! We had fun though!

He was pretty excited about his ringers!

Going for a ride!

We celebrated a bunch of birthdays, and Jade was very excited about her new Cricket!

Wade looking at the lion. Or something...the dang thing never moved, so i dont know if Wade believed me when i told him it was a lion! lol!

He loved the tigers!

On the way home Sunday, we had a little issue with the trailer. Chuck looked back and saw something flapping on top of it, and when i looked back, i told him it looked like the top of the trailer was gone. He didn't believe me til we stopped at the next exit and got out and looked. Sure enough, the rubber covering had come loose and ripped and was flapping all over the place. And we were 350 miles from home.....we stopped and bought some duct tape, but that was useless, so we just headed home. Then, of course, we had to run into a freak thunder storm. We got POURED on! With a trailer with no protection on top but some flimsy plywood.... (oh, and did i mention that *I* had to be the one driving the stupid 30 foot long trailer for the first time 40 miles an hour down the freeway because the rain was so bad?? Fun.) So the next stop we made, we found the trailer full of freakin' water because there was nothing to keep it out! GREAT!!!! Thank goodness none of the beds got wet. Just the counters and the floors were soaked. So now i'm in a fight with the dealership because i dont WANT this stupid pile of junk anymore (this is just the most recent in a very LONG list of major problems we've had with this thing since we got it last fall) So irritating......Dont EVER buy a Starwood Mackenzie camp trailer. They are JUNK!
